Man wanted for stealing wallet from west El Paso convenience store

El Paso police said they caught a man on surveillance video taking a wallet at a west El Paso convenience store. Detectives from the Westside Regional Command Center are now asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man. The incident happened Sunday, February 23 at the Valero Store located at 4900 Doniphan. At about, 5:30p.m., the victim claims he was at the gas pumps refueling his vehicle when he placed his wallet on top of the gas pumps. The victim left and quickly returned realizing that he had forgotten his wallet. The victim met with store employees and found that nobody had turned it in. Investigators were able to review surveillance footage and observed the suspect take the wallet.
