Man threatens store clerk, robs store

A man threatened an employee and robbed a Central El Paso convenience store.

Police sent us a surveillance picture of the man standing right in front of the cashier.

It happened at the 7-Eleven on Gateway East and Geronimo the night of April 1.

"A man walked into this 7-Eleven, ended up threatening the clerk and made a statement of hurting her if she did not comply with his demands for money," said Javier Sambrano with the El Paso Police Department.

The man took the cash and ran toward an alley next to the store.

Just after the robbery, a red 4-door car similar to a Honda was seen leaving the area.

Police said he was wearing a black "Good Fellas" t-shirt, black shorts and black tennis shoes with red laces.
