Police in Mexico arrested Walter Lee Williams, a man on the FBI's list of most wanted criminals, late Tuesday, Mexican state news agency Notimex reported.

The FBI placed the former university professor wanted for involvement in sex trafficking on the list Monday, according to Notimex. His photo had appeared in local newspapers identifying him as a fugitive.

Police arrested Williams in a cafe after he failed to produce proper identification.
