Man Hit By Train, Killed

SOCORRO, TX — A man is dead after he's hit by a train in Socorro.

Witnesses said the man was sitting on the train tracks near Bauman and Middle Drain when he was struck at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

The train conductor stopped the train after realizing the train had hit something.

The Socorro spokesperson said they are unable to identify the man at this time.

Police suspect the man had been drinking.
