LAS CRUCES, NM — Police have not yet released the identity of a man found dead in a canal in Las Cruces.
Police found the body covered in a blanket on Amador and McSwain at about 6 p.m. Friday after they said a woman saw what she thought looked like a body and called police.
They have not identified the victim, but said he had blunt force trauma to the head.
Police said the man could have been in the canal anywhere between 12 to 24 hours before they found him.
