Make Sure Your Smoke Detector Works Properly

LAS CRUCES, NM — The Las Cruces fire department is encouraging residents to install new batteries in their smoke detectors when they "fall back" one hour. To check if your smoke detector is working, press and hold the alarm's "test" button and make sure it beeps, or rings loudly.
