EL PASO — March is National Women's and Girl's HIV Awareness Month and one local women's support group wants to raise awareness about the growing problem.
According to the CDC, 25% of adults and adolescents older than 13 living with HIV in the United States were women.
That's why the group DIVAS Unidas wants to raise awareness about what women with HIV/AIDS are going through because they believe there is a huge stigma behind women with the disease.
The group will be hosting a luncheon for anyone who wants to attend.
