The City of El Paso Department of Public Health’s Eat Well! El Paso initiative continues to grow, and organizers are happy to announce that five more restaurants are now on board.

The new food establishments that have joined the Eat Well! family include a diverse range of options.

They include everything from pizza and sandwiches to Mexican and Argentinean cuisine.

“Our goal is to reach every type of eatery in El Paso. Our program is all encompassing and the more restaurant choices that are available, the more likely families will participate,” said Joy Leos, Health Project Coordinator.

The challenge now is to show the public that their favorite meals can maintain their wonderful flavor, and still be healthier,” she said.

The new restaurants announced today are:

T Coasters
9530 Viscount Suite 1AA

Café La Maliche
1321 N. Zaragoza

Garufa Argentinean Restaurant
5411 N Mesa

The Healthy Pizza Company
3800 N. Mesa, Ste C-9

Eat Well! El Paso also includes an online nutrition course made available to everyone in the community including local restaurants, daycare providers, and parents in the El Paso area.

Additionally, the Eat Well! El Paso initiative is a main contributor to the El Paso Food Day Celebration that takes place annually in October.
