LAS CRUCES — Residents can now register online for the new, free, City of Las Cruces service called “Las Cruces Notification System” that allows the City to provide information to residents via phone calls, text messaging and emails.
Alert messages constitute emergencies only such as active shooter, hazardous material situations and severe weather.
Residents listed in the White Pages of the phone directory will automatically receive alert notifications by a phone call on their land line. Advisory messages include road closures, water main breaks and zoning issues. Residents will need to voluntarily signup to receive ADVISORY messages and can select to be notified by text, email and/or phone calls.
