EL PASO - One group of El Pasoans began this holiday with the most important meal of the day to honor those who work.
The Central Labor Union held its annual Labor Day breakfast which featured Texas Land Commissioner candidate Hector Uribe and Texas State Senate candidate Jose Rodriguez as speakers.
Rodriguez urged the crowd to get out the vote in the November general election.
This year's gathering funds student scholarships.
It honored George A. McAlmon Junior, a lifelong advocate of human rights.
