A Los Angeles judge rejected a request from concert promoter AEG Live to dismiss the Michael Jackson wrongful death case, but the court did agree to drop two company executives as individual defendants Monday.
Each side claimed a measure of victory after the ruling. The trial is in its fifth month. Closing arguments could begin next week.
Jackson's 83-year-old mother and three children accuse AEG of negligence in hiring Dr. Conrad Murray. Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the pop legend's death.
