Talk about being in the right place at the right time! An El Paso Police Officer was able to help deliver a baby boy late Tuesday night after the Officer noticed the driver of the car driving erratically along I-10.

The EPPD Officer was responding to an unrelated call when she noticed a car driving erratically on I-10 near Lee Trevino around 10:50 p.m. The officer turned on her lights and initiated a traffic stop on the car. When she arrived to the vehicle, the driver notified her that the back-seat passenger was about to give birth.

The Officer immediately sprung into action to assist the woman in labor with the delivery of a baby boy.

El Paso Fire Medical Services arrived at the scene and transported the mother and new baby to Del Sol Medical Center for further medical evaluation.
