A social media stunt has arrived in El Paso.

If you have not heard of it, you will soon.

The Ice Bucket Challenge has become a viral movement on social media sites.

The staff at The City Magazine, with the help of Editor-in-Chief, Shelley Mozelle took on the challenge in West El Paso, Tuesday.

The challenge starts with a person video taping themselves being doused with a bucket of ice water, followed by calling out their friends to do the same.

If you fail to meet the challenge, you will have to donate money to the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis foundation also known as ALS and Gherig's Disease.

"it's very personal to me, I lost my mother a few years back. There is very little known about ALS." said Shelley Mozelle, Editor-in-Chief, City Magazine.

More than one million dollars has been raised in the past two weeks because of the Ice Bucket Challenge, reported by the ALS association.
