(CNN) — There are encouraging signs that the housing market is getting back to normal. Home prices will rise an average of three-point-three-percent a year from now until September 2017, according to a forecast from Fiserv Case-Shiller.
Fiserv predicts home prices will head higher in almost every metro area it tracks by the end of this year. The biggest gains are expected in Medford, Oregon; Santa Fe, New Mexico; Billings, Montana and Syracuse, New York.
Home prices in Miami are expected to drop 10-point-seven-percent because of the high number of foreclosures in the area.
