A Horizon woman is living the dream, after a recent trip to California took an unexpected turn.

Magdalena Gutierrez attended a taping of the "Price is Right" game show in September, and got selected as a contestant.

"I've been watching since I was a little girl. It was always on my bucket list. So that's what i wanted to do," said Gutierrez.

But that was just the beginning of Magdalena's luck. While she didn't get to play her favorite game Plinko, she did get to play the Range Game.

"Yes, I had seen that game before, and I said, I got this," said Magdelena.

And get it she did. She won that game and a Caribbean vacation, but she wasn't done yet. Magdalena then won not one showcase, but two, because her bet was within $250 of the actual retail price.

It's a feat few people have ever pulled off.

"I'm still on cloud nine. I'm still in shock. It was just an amazing treasured moment,"

Not to shabby for a woman from Horizon, just hoping to catch a live episode of her favorite game show.

In all, Magdalena's prizes totalled more than $76,000. She won a car, a boat, four vacations, jewelry, and a fire pit. She's now facing the tough decision of where to go first, the Bahamas, Canada, Las Vegas, or Sonoma.

The episode featuring Magdalena aired this week, on our sister station, KDBC.
