Horizon City Car Fire Update

The victim of the car fire has been tentatively identified, however according to the El Paso Sheriff's Office, it could take months to positively identify the victim.

However, we do know that the victim was an elderly male and that his incident was most likely accidental.

Detectives say that while the man was driving through the desert, the car became stuck on a berm and the hot engine ignited the vehicle. The man was unable to escape the Ford passenger car.

The autopsy is scheduled for today.
