El Paso's colorful history will take center stage next month, during a tourism summit in the Sun City.

The goal of the El Paso Heritage Tourism Summit is twofold.  Firstly,  inform people about El Paso's history.  Secondly to find ways to promote it and bring more tourists to the region.

"Heritage tourism is a huge industry across America," said Jackson Polk from the El Paso History Radio Show.  "We have very little of that here. Primarily, I think because toursists have thought the history here is Juarez which has come and gone in recent days, some say it's coming back, but even so, el paso has better history than most anywhere in North America".

The summit is March 22nd at the Convention Center Downtown.
