BASTROP, TX - Help is on the way for wildfire survivors in central Texas.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency is sending trailers to the area. Anywhere from 50 to 100 trailers are going to folks in Bastrop and Waller counties.
The temporary homes will be placed as close as possible to properties where homes are being repaired or rebuilt.
"I have been so excited. I have been so excited. The FEMA people have been so kind," said Maryann Creed, a FEMA recipient.
People can live in the trailers for up to 18 months.
More than 1,500 people lost their homes from the Labor Day fires in Bastrop County.
