El Paso, TX (KDBC) — A strong storm system swept through the Borderland Friday night, and some area residents even reported seeing a tornado. It turns out, it was not a tornado. It's a gustnado, which is more closely associated with a whirlwind or dust devil.
The main difference is gustnados don't actually connect to the clouds, but wind gusts from a gustnado can still top a 100 miles an hour.
