Groundbreaking to be held for new school

The groundbreaking ceremony for the new Congressman Silvestre & Carolina Reyes school is set for Thursday morning at 10. The school will be built in the Cimarron subdivision in Northwest El Paso. It will house pre-kindergarten through eighth grade students.

Silvestre Reyes served in the U.S. Congress for eight terms. Carolina Reyes was the first Hispanic to be elected as president of the congressional club. Both are Canutillo High School graduates. Classes are expected to begin in the spring of 2015.
