GM announced another recall. The automaker says its recalling more than three-million vehicles over an ignition switch issue linked to eight crashes and six injuries.
A GM spokesman said the issue in this newest recall relates to a *different* ignition switch problem from the one linked to at least 13 deaths and another two-point-six-million-vehicle recall.
The decade-long delay in that recall is currently under federal investigation and at the center of several lawsuits against GM. The new recall affects some Chevrolet, Cadillac and Buick models from 2000 through 2014. The total number of recalled GM vehicles this year now stands at more than 20 million.
