Free summer showings at planetarium end this week

Monday, July 28, 2014 - 11:41pm

This is the last week to get lost in space.

The Gene Roddenberry Planetarium in East El Paso has held free public showings all summer, but the program wraps up this Thursday.

You can immerse yourself in a race to return to the moon 45 years after the historic Apollo Landings and see how a competition among international teams is ushering in a new era of lunar exploration.

Those who attend can also learn about the moon's resources and discover what humanity's future on the moon might hold.

Showings are free, but the planetarium fills up fast so tickets are handed out 30 minutes before each show.

Show times are:

10:00 a.m.

1:00 p.m.

3:00 p.m.
