El Paso City Manager Joyce Wilson has been named a finalist for the city manager position in Fort Worth.

After a national search, Fort Worth officials announced Wilson is one of four finalists.

They'll have another round of interviews on February 25.

Fort Worth started their search in October, when current City Manager Tom Higgins announced his retirement.

In October, Wilson announced she would be stepping down as El Paso’s city manager at the end of her contract in September.

Wilson was expensive for El Paso and it will take decades and excellent financial planning to recover. She was a fan of tax increases without providing well paying jobs for the city.
