Fort Hood shooting suspect refuses to enter plea

The Army psychiatrist accused of opening fire at a Texas Military Post in 2009 was back in court today for a pre-trial hearing.

Major Nidal Hasan was originally expected to enter a plea but refused to do so.

The court entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf.

Jury selection in the case is slated to start next Tuesday, July 9th.

Hasan is accused of killing 13 people in a November 2009 murder spree at Fort Hood.

Hasan was shot and paralyzed from the chest down during the shooting.

If convicted, Hasan could face a death sentence.
