Fort Bliss Soldier killed in military vehicle rollover

A Fort Bliss Soldier is dead following a rollover crash of a tactical vehicle on Dona Ana Range Complex on Friday. Two Soldiers from 3rd Brigade, 1st Armored Division and one Soldier from 2nd Brigade, 1st Armored Division were in the vehicle when the accident occured.

"The impact of the rollover caused non-life threatening injuries to two of the Soldiers. One of the Soldiers sustained serious head injuries and was pronounced dead yesterday afternoon," said Maj. Joe Buccino, Fort Bliss Spokesman.

The cause of the accident is still unknown and the investigation continues.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the Soldiers and families affected," said Buccino.

The name of the fallen Soldier is being withheld pending official notification of his family.
