Fort Bliss Officials In Favor of Burger King On Post Selling Beer

Fort Bliss- As we first reported on Monday, the Burger King in freedom crossing on post is now selling beer. Fort Bliss officials tell us the Burger King is a tester market for selling alcohol. We spoke with Major General Dana Pittard who says, "Freedom Crossing is a popular destination, it's natural that we have alcohol establishments there. We have an Irish Pub there and they actually serve alcohol in the movie theater, which I wasn't initially for but it's worked just fine. Major Pittard adds restaurants on post aren't allowed to sell anyone in uniform any alcoholic drinks.
