A retired New Jersey police officer is making it his mission to bring a piece of 9-11 to every military installation across the country.

Steve Saymon was one of the first responders who helped pull people from the rubble of the World Trade Center. Monday, he was in El Paso at Fort Bliss where he presented the 1st Armored Division a U.S. flag flown at independence hall and a limestone block taken from the portion of the pentagon that collapsed on 9-11.

“This is reminder if a terrorist sees these artifacts, they may say we may have won the battle, but we standing here today can say we will win this war," said Steve Saymon.

Saymon's son is a soldier in the Bulldog Brigade at Fort Bliss.
