Tuesday, November 6, 2012 - 9:57am

Two Horizon High School students were arrested for allegedly breaking into several buildings and stealing property from inside.

Andres Duran, 17, is charged with  two counts of burglary of a building, one count of burglary of a vehicle and two counts of theft.

Sheriff's deputies responded to a burglary at a building in the 15100 block of Alberton Ave. and followed a trail of footprints that led them to Duran and a second suspect, a 16-year-old teenager.

Investigators said the pair was also involved in burglaries at three other locations.

Duran is also suspected of burglarizing a community center where thousands of dollars worth of equipment was stolen.  Deputies believe another person was involved in that burglary, but has not been arrested.

Duran was booked into the El Paso County Jail.  The other male teen was turned over to the Juvenile Probation Department.
