EL PASO - Hundreds of people said 'Goodbye' to five family members who were killed in one tragic car crash.
It's been just over a week since five people, including three children died in a tragic car accident. Wednesday the five were laid to rest.
The wreck happened on July 30th near Fabens. That's when the lives of five were sent down a tragic path. And the lives of countless others were changed forever.
The Barnes family was coming home from a trip to Houston. A tire blew on their minivan and the crashed.
Reality is setting in for the family as 22 month old Bethanie Barnes, 48 year old Candace Barnes, 25 year old Brittney Barnes, 4 year old Caiden Barnes and 5 year old Aaron Arenas were put to rest.
"It's a great tragedy," said Gene Barnes "They were at my house a week ago. They left Houston to come back to El Paso. I pray for them. That's all I have to say. It's kind of hard."
The Barnes family said they're thankful to the community and the hundreds who showed up to offer their condolences.
