El Paso, TX (KDBC) — Jenna Farrey, the mother of 5-month-old Jackson Farrey who was found buried in the New Mexico desert in late November was awarded bond on Tuesday.
Court records show that Judge Sam Medrano awarded Farrey a $1.5 million dollar bond Tuesday. Farrey has been in the El Paso County Detention Facility since her extradition from Michigan in December.
As we've reported, the Farrey family was reported missing in November, and was found days later in a Michigan motel, but their 5-month-old Jackson Farrey was not with them. The infant's body was found days later buried in the desert near Orogrande, NM.
Jenna has not been charged with any crime in connection with the infant's death. She has been held at the El Paso County Detention Facility on charges of violating her probation stemming from a 2012 incident involving her 19-month-old son Blake. Until Tuesday, Jenna had been held without bond.
Jenna's husband Jeffrey Farrey is charged with injury to a child in connection with Jackson's death. He will go to trial in October 2013.
It is unknown if Jenna will be able to post the $1.5 million bond, we will continue to follow the developments in this story.
