EL PASO, TX — An emotional day for family and friends of Colorado shooting victim Jessica Ghawi,as they said their final good-byes.
A memorial service was held for 24-year-old Ghawi in San Antonio, Texas where she grew up. She was living in the Denver area pursuing her dream of becoming a sportscaster when she was struck down during the shooting rampage in Aurora. One-by-one, several family and friends walked to the podium to remember her life. Jessica Ghawi had recently blogged about her narrow escape during a shooting at a Toronto shopping center only to fall victim at the Aurora theater.
