El Paso — Officer Jonathan Molina's funeral will take place at 12:30 PM today at Saint Patrick's Cathedral in Downtown El Paso. Offficials say Officer Molina was severely beaten by 17-year-old Juan Gonzalez on September 25th. Molina died last week.
The Slain El Paso Police Officer served on the Marines before joining the police force 4 years ago. The teenage suspect is facing capital murder charges. On Thursday the El Paso Fire Department raised a flag to honor Officer Molina at his rosary.
Molina is survived by his parents and two siblings. He will be buried at Fort Bliss.
