FAA grounds all boeing 787 dreamliners

Friday, January 18, 2013 - 6:47am

The Federal Aviation Administration has temporarily grounded all boeing 787 dreamliners in the U.S. until the company can prove the plane's batteries are safe. The only U.S. carrier that flies the planes is United Airlines. The planes have also been pulled in Europe, Japan, India and South Africa. Several air carries have had problems with their 787 jets in recent days, including a battery fire, a cracked windshield, two fuel leaks and a braking system problem. The dreamliners have only been in operation since October of 2011.
