El Paso, TX (KDBC) — Welcome the summer season by taking part in the first International SUN-day this Sunday, June 22, at the New Mexico Museum of Space History.
The Amateur Astronomers Group (AAG) and the museum are teaming up with the Charlie Bates Solar Astronomy Project to celebrate International SUN-Day from 1:00 to 5:00 on the museum’s patio.
The public is invited to experience the immense power and natural subtle beauty of the Sun through hydrogen-alpha, white light and Calcium -K telescopes provided by the AAG.
Learn how events that happen millions of miles away affect life on Earth.
Talk to AAG members about telescopes, backyard astronomy, and community viewing opportunities.
The New Mexico Museum of Space History is a division of the NM Department of Cultural Affairs.
