County Judge Veronica Escobar is still saying that we are misrepresenting her.
Yesterday we aired a clip from an interview with Escobar shot last Friday. In that interview she told us that the hiring committee knew about the fabrications on former medical examiner Paul Shrode's resume when they hired him. Now, she's saying we've misunderstood what she was trying to say, and that she never said that she knew that people involved in hiring Shrode knew about the inaccuracies in his resume. Attached to this story is an unedited segment of that interview. Listen to what she said and let us know in the comments if we've misunderstood her. We'll use some of the comments at 10pm.
It's already been stated by Commissioner Haggerty that the resume was embellished. He even laughed about it. County Judge Escobar needs to zip the lip and just move on. The more she talks, the worse she puts "foot into mouth" deeper.
