EL PASO (KDBC) — El Paso Water Utility is looking to pay to replace more of the aging water line along Country Club Road in El Paso's Upper Valley.
Specifically, from Montoya Drive west to Santa Teresita Drive.
County Club is already getting a new water line from Montoya to Doniphan Drive as part of the multi-million dollar Country Club Improvements Project.
According to city documents, replacing the additional stretch of water line would add roughly $611,000 to the cost of the project, bringing it to a total of $14.7 million.
The City says the water utility would pay for the additional work.
The documents state the proposed extension would also add 39 days to the project contract with "substantial completion" scheduled for April 2, 2015.
El Paso City Council will take up the matter at Tuesday's regular meeting at City Hall.
