EL PASO (KDBC) — A 16-year-old boy was killed by a hit-and-run driver in East El Paso.
Police said the 16-year-old pulled over on the right shoulder to fix a tire on Loop 375 near Rojas at 2:10 a.m. Sunday.
As the teen was outside the car, a charcoal-colored SUV hit the teen and kept driving, according to police.
The 16-year-old died at the scene.
The driver is believed to have been driving a charcoal-colored Chevrolet SUV. It was last seen going south on Loop 375.

This is the 17th traffic death in El Paso in 2013.
