El Paso, TX (KDBC) — The El Paso Police Department has filed additional charges against a man who is accused of holding fake job fairs in order to obtain people's personal information throughout El Paso.
Jose Luz Salcido Jr., 54, who also went by the alias 'David Hernandez' is accused of conducting fake job fairs at the Hilton Garden hotel, 6650 Gateway East and the Holiday Inn Express, 11825 Gateway West, for the sole purpose of obtaining information from applicants.
Salcido was operating under the business names of Career International, Business ventures International and Jaimarie Investments. He was previously arrested in August 2013 and charged on theft charges.
EPPD arrested Salcido on April 11, and charged him with Fraudulent use of possession of identifying info 10<50, his bond was set at $250,000.
Police are urging anyone who may have had contact with Salcido under his business names or others not mentioned who may have been victimized by Salcido to contact the El Paso Police Department's Financial Crimes unit at (915) 564-7130.
