EPPD: Alleged DWI driver arrested for going 121 MPH on I-10

El Paso Police say they arrested 21-year-old Humberto Lugo after police spotted Lugo driving his 2008 Honda Civic east on I-10 traveling at 121 mph in a 60 mph zone early Wednesday morning.

An officer assigned to EPPD's DWI Task Force initially stopped Lugo for the traffic violation as he was traveling eastbound near the Lee Trevino area traveling at speeds of 121 mph around 2:08 a.m. on Wednesday morning. After the traffic stop, EPPD officers say they discovered Lugo was intoxicated.

Lugo was the only person inside the Honda at the time, he was charged with DWI and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a $600 bond.
