El Paso, TX (KDBC) — More legislation aimed at preventing another school cheating scandal passed the Texas Senate today. Senate Bill 121 would prohibit school districts from firing or suspending whistle blowers who report immoral or illegal behavior. However, the bill does come with a catch. It only applies to school districts in El Paso County.
State Senator Jose Rodriguez has now sponsored five bills in reaction to the cheating scandal. All have been passed by the Senate and now move onto the House.
