EL PASO — The EPISD Board of Trustees voted to post board meeting information online. Board members said it's a way to move toward transparency.
Board meeting materials will now be posted on the district's website at least 48 hours before the meeting. It will exclude employee, teacher information and closed session details.
City representative Susie Byrd said it's important for board members to keep the community informed.
“I think it's a great way, a big step in making sure that the public and the media are as educated about the decisions that are being made. So I think it's very important,” said Byrd.
Before Tuesday's vote, only the agenda was posted online.
