EL PASO — In recent years, El Paso has seen an increase in extreme weather conditions once the cold fall and winter months arrive. The El Paso Fire Department and El Paso Coalition for the Homeless are teaming up for their first blanket drive.
The El Paso Fire Department will make all 33 of its fire stations available as drop-off sites for the first annual EPCH Project Restart Blanket Drive 2012. The drive runs from October 22 to October 31. For a list of fire stations, visit <http://home.elpasotexas.gov/fire-department/fire-stations.php>.
The mission of Project Restart is to collect new and gently-used blankets to distribute to the El Paso Rescue Mission, Center Against Family Violence, Salvation Army and other coalition agencies around town.
