El Paso, TX (KDBC) — El Paso County Sheriff'sCriminal Investigation Division arrested a man they say was scamming El Pasoans out of money through his construction business.
Joseph Arroyos, 39, was arrested Monday in the 1100 block of Chris Forbes St. in Socorro, TX. EPCSO allege that Arroyos would ask for payment of construction jobs up front, start a job and then never complete the work. They also say he would sometimes take the money up front and never start the job at all.
Arroyos is currently being held in the El Paso County Detention Facility on multiple charges, including Theft of Service, Theft of Property and Deceptive Trade Practices. His bonds currently total $81,500. He is also being held on an additional parole violation, with no bond.
Arroyos was operating under the business name "Joe's Construction." El Paso County Sheriff's Deputies say that Arroyos may have other victims, if you or anyone you know was a victim of this scam you can contact the Sheriff's Office at (915) 546-2280 or (915) 538-2291.
