EL PASO, TX — El Paso Water Utilities said El Pasoans have cut water use by half-a-billion gallons this year, thanks to its “Less is the New More” campaign.
El Pasoans have used more than 500 million fewer gallons of water than they did by this time in 2011.
Its "Less is the New More" campaign focuses on following the city's year-round, odd-even watering schedule, watering lawns less frequently and fixing leaks around homes.
The water utilities said El Pasoans need to continue conserving water. It expects a severely reduced water supply in 2013.
