EL PASO — El Paso's mayor got a piece of people's minds today during another of his meet the mayor days. Every month Mayor John Cook leaves his schedule open so that anyone from the public can drop in to express concerns or ask questions. He said he's heard from more people lately because of the upcoming election.
"I will listen to what people have to say. I know it gets very discouraging if someone calls and they say the mayor is booked up for the next month, can we schedule you an appointment sometime in December?" said the mayor.
Mayor Cook says many people lately have asked questions or expressed have concerns about the bond propositions on the november ballot.
