EL PASO - You can bet your bottom dollar that millions upon millions will tune in this Sunday to catch the Super Bowl. Some people are in for the showdown, others like the commercials, but one El Pasoan says he's in it for this year's halftime performer.
To Sidney Alvarez, Madonna is the headliner of Super Bowl Sunday. In fact, Lady Madge is the only reason he's watching the game, live.
"Back in November, when they announced that Madonna was going to be the halftime show for the super bowl, we immediately made plans to head out there," said Alvarez.
Alvarez said that to him, the Patriots and the Giants will be opening for Madonna this Sunday --- not the other way around. He said he's been going to see Madonna in concert for 20 years!
