El Paso, TX (KDBC) — The El Paso Fire Department will be hosting an informational open house for individuals interested in obtaining a career in the fire service.
Training Academy staff, firefighters and Human Resources personnel will be available to answer any questions and provide information regarding the upcoming recruitment process.
The El Paso Fire Department will be accepting applications for the position of Firefighter Trainee on starting Monday, October 7th through the City's website.
The job posting will only be available for one day or until 500 applications are received.
Anyone that applies must be at least 18 years of age, must have a valid Texas Driver's License and must have a high school diploma or GED.
Individuals who meet the minimum requirements and are one of the first 500 applicants will be invited to move on to the next stage - the written exam.
The academy for this recruitment process is tentatively set for May 2014.
The number of recruits who will be accepted to this academy has not been finalized at this time.
