El Paso Electric Crews Head to Areas Hit by Hurricane Sandy

On Monday, Baltimore Gas and Electric company requested help from the El Paso Electric company. El Paso Electric is sending 17 of its employees to Baltimore to help restore power. Hurricane Sandy has already knocked out the lights to about a million and a half homes. Three El Paso Electric crews, bucket trucks, boom trucks and other equipment are scheduled to begin leaving on Wednesday morning.
Baltimore Gas and Electric serves 1.2 million people.
