Hundreds of people braved the heat and enjoyed a Saturday afternoon celebrating the 6th annual El Paso Sun City pride parade. The gay pride parade is a fun and colorful event that happens nation wide.

People marched in unison wearing rainbow colors, body paint and signs in support of equality for all. This year's theme was called "Hollywood Style." Participants dressed up specific movies, musicals or TV shows.

"Showing my gratitude once again to those people who back in 1969 started the movement. The gay liberation and continuing to be proud of who you are," said Carlos Salais.

The mile and a half long parade starts at Houston park and ended at North Stanton street.
