Co-head coach James Rodriguez has announced the addition of El Paso Community College catcher and El Dorado graduate Elizabeth Walsh to the 2012 roster.
“Liz is a utility player that can play infield, outfield and catcher,” Rodriguez said. “She can also swing the bat with some power and we’re very excited to have her join our team this season.”
Walsh comes to UTEP after a two-year stint with the Tejanas. The catcher batted .270 last season with 17 RBI’s in 37 games for the Tejanas as a sophomore in 2011.
